BounceBack Homes is seeking a Real Estate Transaction & Accounting Manager to support the financial and transaction-side operations of its residential fix-and-flip business. This part-time, remote contract role focuses on transaction-level accounting, reconciliation, and coordination with external bookkeeping partners to ensure accuracy from acquisition through closing.

The role is best suited for accounting professionals with hands-on experience in residential real estate transactions who are comfortable owning the “numbers” side of deals and identifying discrepancies before they become issues. Attention to detail and familiarity with fix-and-flip accounting workflows are critical.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Reconciling transaction-related activity such as acquisitions, payoffs, equity disbursements, and closing costs
  • Tracking estimated versus actual net equity and reconciling property-level expenses
  • Reviewing and resolving discrepancies prior to closing
  • Maintaining accurate records of invoices, payments, reimbursements, and transaction expenses
  • Supporting accurate financial reporting for real estate transactions
  • Coordinating with internal teams and external accounting partners to ensure timely payment of taxes, insurance, and HOA expenses
  • Managing transaction documentation and supporting end-to-end accounting workflows
  • Assisting with additional accounting or administrative tasks as needed

Typical qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, ideally within fix-and-flip or residential real estate environments
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including formulas and financial analysis
  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred
  • Familiarity with real estate closing documents (HUD/ALTA statements) and transaction processes
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced or startup environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Compensation & structure:

  • Hourly rate: $35 per hour
  • Part-time, 1099 contract role
  • Estimated workload averages ~10 hours per week, with occasional increases up to ~25 hours based on volume
  • Paid training period included
  • Flexible schedule with availability required during standard EST business hours

This role supports a mission-driven real estate company focused on helping homeowners navigate challenging financial situations through disciplined, accurate transaction execution.
