Mortgage Production Assistant

Zillow Home Loans is seeking a Mortgage Production Assistant to support loan processing and underwriting workflows within a fast-paced lending environment. This role focuses on reviewing loan files, ensuring documentation accuracy, and supporting loan officers to keep applications moving efficiently through the pipeline.

This position is suited for candidates with mortgage experience who can manage detailed documentation, maintain compliance standards, and work collaboratively across teams.

Key responsibilities may include:

Loan File & Processing Support

Reviewing and preparing loan files for underwriting submission
Identifying missing documentation and ensuring file completeness
Evaluating income documentation and underwriting requirements
Supporting loan file accuracy and compliance

Workflow & Coordination

Communicating with loan officers to ensure accurate submissions
Tracking loan progress and supporting pipeline movement
Assisting in improving internal processes and efficiencies

Compliance & Documentation

Following lending guidelines and regulatory requirements
Maintaining accurate records and documentation standards
Ensuring all files meet required submission criteria
Required background:
Experience in mortgage production, loan processing, or related role
Familiarity with mortgage documentation and loan workflows
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Attention to detail and ability to review complex documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred experience:
Experience with Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS)
Familiarity with lending guidelines and compliance requirements
Experience using loan processing or mortgage software systems
Compensation:
$21 – $34 per hour (range varies by location)
